DELTA: Police Nab 25 Cultists, Burst Drug Cartel

Police Operatives in Delta State have Thursday burst a wanted drug cartel in Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area the State.

It was gathered that the hideout of the cartel in Okwuchi quarters, Eku was raided on February 3, 2022, by the Command’s Crack Surveillance team.

It was gathered that the suspect; Larry Onifon ‘m’ age 24yrs, who is a member of the drug-dealing gang that had been on the wanted list of the command was suspect was arrested.

The suspect who claimed to be a fashion designer was arrested in their drug while other suspects fled the scene.

The suspect Larry Onifon confessed that the cartel popularly called “OBJ” cartel” is owned by one of the fleeing suspects named “OBJ”.

It was learned that 40 packets of 100mg Tramadol, 89 wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp, 4 sachets of Swinol, three (3) containers of Loud, fifty-five (55) wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine.

In a related development, Command Raider’s operatives raided a criminal hideout at Agbor, Delta State, during which twenty-five (25) male suspected cultists were arrested.

Some of the suspects confessed to being members of Black Axe Confraternity and Junior Supreme Aiye Confraternity. An investigation is ongoing.
