President Tinubu Vows Justice for Slain Soldiers in Delta State Ambush

Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, issued a resolute statement condemning the cowardly attack that led to the deaths of Nigerian soldiers during a peacekeeping mission in the Okuoma Community of Delta State, located in the South-south region of Nigeria. In the statement personally signed by the President on Sunday, he expressed his determination that those responsible for the heinous act would face justice. President Tinubu conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers and emphasized the nation’s commitment to honoring the sacrifices made by its servicemen and women. He acknowledged the perilous nature of military service and praised the bravery and patriotism exhibited by the fallen soldiers.

Furthermore, he asserted that any assault on the armed forces is an assault on the nation itself and affirmed his government’s unwavering pursuit of peace and security across Nigeria. President Tinubu granted full authority to the Defence Headquarters and the Chief of Defence Staff to ensure that those accountable for the attack are brought to justice. Recognizing the inherent dangers faced by military personnel in their line of duty, he commended their courage and unwavering commitment to the nation. He affirmed the government’s determination to ensure that the perpetrators of this reprehensible act face justice and reiterated his administration’s dedication to achieving peace and stability across Nigeria. The President entrusted the Defence Headquarters and the Chief of Defence Staff with full authority to apprehend those responsible for the attack and emphasized the government’s relentless pursuit of peace and security.
