Wizkid to Release Sixth Album ‘Morayo,’ Featuring Nigerian Artists

Grammy award-winning artist Wizkid is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated sixth album, ‘Morayo.’ In a tweet on June 24, 2024, Wizkid revealed that the album, which is a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, will feature collaborations with several prominent Nigerian artists.

In the lead-up to the album’s release, Wizkid has been seen in the studio with a range of Nigerian musicians, including Shallipopi, Odumodublvck, and more recently, Omah Lay. These collaborations have heightened excitement among fans who are eager to hear the new music.

Wizkid’s previous project, the EP ‘S2,’ released in December 2023, featured notable collaborations such as ‘Ololufe’ with Nigerian star Wande Coal and ‘IDK,’ the lead single featuring rapper Zlatan. The latter track achieved significant success, breaking into the top 10 on the TurnTable Top 100 chart.

The announcement of ‘Morayo’ has generated significant buzz, particularly on social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter), as fans speculate about the artists featured and anticipate the fresh sound that Wizkid will bring to this tribute album.
