Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has called for a National Action Plan on the environment to curb the spread of malaria across Nigeria.
The Delta State Governor stated this when he received officials of the Federal Ministry of Health’s “Roll-Back Malaria” initiative, which was led by Dr. Eze Nelson.
While commending the efforts of investing in malaria preventive measures, Gov Okowa placed more emphasis in taking care of our environments.
“It is good that we are investing in mosquito nets and other preventive measures, however, we must concentrate on how to take care of our environment to reduce the transmission of malaria,” Governor Okowa said.
