NLC THREATENS WARNING STRIKE AS ASUP PLAN TO SHUTDOWN POLYS

National Labor Congress has threatened to embark on three days warning strikes after giving FG a twenty-one days ultimatum to meet their demands.

The president, who made known during a press briefing on Thursday 28th April, Mr. Ayuba Wabba, stated that there is going to be a one-day national protest to speak centrally on the issue of the importance of education.

In another development, The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has released a statement, pointing at the one-month ultimatum it gave to the FG to meet their demand, this notice was made known by The National Executive Council of ASUP in March 2022 at the end of its 102 NEC meeting in Yola, Adamawa.

ASUP threatens to shut down polytechnics on May 4th, 2022 if their demand is not met immediately after the lapse of the one-month stipulation.

    Gov. Should step up bec the rot in the tertiary education system is worrisome. Programme of 4yrs will take 6 to 7yrs bec of the frequent strike. Not healthy for a developing Country like Nigeria.
