Later on Monday, President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Nigeria for a routine medical checkup in the UK.

Femi Adesina, the president’s special media and publicity adviser, made this statement on Twitter using the verified account @femiAdesina.

The President is scheduled to return to the nation in the second week of November, he added.
