THE MUSLIM RIGHTS CONCERN (MURIC) BLAMED THE FORMER SENATE PRESIDENT, DR BUKOLA SARAKI, AGITATORS AND BAD LOSERS FOR CAUSING THE INSECURITY UNDER THE MUHAMMADU BUHARI ADMINISTRATION.

IN A PRESS RELEASE SUBMITTED ON THURSDAY BY ITS DIRECTOR, PROFESSOR ISHAQ AKINTOLA, MURIC ACCUSED BAD LOSERS OF INCITING NIGERIANS AGAINST THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

MURIC RECALLED THAT THE SARAKI-LED SENATE ON 6TH APRIL 2018, REJECTED THE PRESIDENT’S REQUEST FOR $1BILLION FOR THE PURCHASE OF ARMS.

ACCORDING TO AKINTOLA, THE DECISION WAS A “DELIBERATE ATTEMPT” TO FRUSTRATE THE GOVERNMENT’S RESOLVE TO SECURE THE NATION.

THE STATEMENT STRESSED THAT THE GOVERNMENT’S EFFORTS WERE SABOTAGED DURING THE #ENDSARS PROTESTS IN OCTOBER 2020.

IT SAID THE RELEASE OF PRISONERS, THE BURNING OF POLICE STATIONS AND THE LOOTING OF POLICE ARMOURY WERE MEANT TO CAUSE HAVOC.

ON THE ASSAULT ON IMO STATE POLICE COMMAND HEADQUARTERS, AKINTOLA DECLARED IT WAS TO ENSURE SECURITY CHALLENGES PERSIST.
