President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his administration’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of Nigerians, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure peace and accelerate national development.

Speaking on behalf of the President at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Niger South Senatorial District stakeholders’ interactive session and campaign council inauguration in Bida, Niger State, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, said President Tinubu has directed security agencies to take all necessary measures to restore lasting peace in Niger State and across the country.

The minister urged Nigerians to remain confident in the President’s reform agenda, emphasizing that the administration’s economic policies are already showing positive results. He assured that the current challenges will soon give way to greater opportunities and prosperity for citizens.

As the Chairman of the APC Campaign Council for the forthcoming November 1 local government elections in Niger State, Idris announced a ₦100 million donation to support campaign activities — ₦10 million each to the eight local government areas in Zone A, and ₦20 million to women and youth groups.

He also appealed for peaceful and issue-based campaigns, stressing that “no political ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian.”

The minister extended his condolences to victims of recent attacks in Niger North, praying for their families and urging residents to embrace peace, unity, and brotherhood in the spirit of democracy.
